Description

REGISTRATION OF INTEREST

TUESDAY 17 NOVEMBER 2020, Victoria University of Wellington, Room - Cotton 139 through gate 7

This contest is designed for year 10 girls. They need to form teams of two and use Python to write their program.

Students with or without prior programming experience, but who are recognised by their teachers or peers as logical problem solvers, are the girls who will love this experience. Students can sign up as an individual team or through their teacher. You will be given free online learning accounts to learn Python. You will be sent some problems of similar difficulty to the contest to practice.

Participants will be given an opportunity to practise with the software to submit their solutions, be given lunch and then sit the contest for two hours.

FOUR UNIVERSITIES AROUND NZ ARE PARTICIPATING IN THIS ALL DAY EVENT

This is a registration of interest for teachers who will be bringing students to the Victoria University of Wellington event (contact Pravin Vaz, pravin.vaz@vuw.ac.nz )
