Description

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 3.30pm - 4.30pm. Are you a senior leader or Digital Technology leader in a Nelson, Marlborough or West Coast region school and haven't yet started with the digital technologies curriculum content?

Kia Takatū ā-Matihiko (the NZ Digital readiness team) are running a series of three webinars aimed at senior leadership and digital technology school leaders. Each interactive webinar builds on the last, and will run 3:30pm–4:30pm on Tuesday 27th, Wednesday 28th & Thursday 29th of October 2020.

Topics covered:

  • The ‘why’ of DT: How is it different to e-Learning? Why is it essential for our tamariki?

  • The ‘what’ of DT: What are the changes to the Technology learning area? What are progress outcomes? Also, we will dive into computational thinking and designing and developing digital outcomes.

  • The ‘how’ of DT: What resources are available, a plan for getting started, and strategies for engaging kaiako and ākonga.

This virtual meetup is aligned to the Ministry of Education’s digital technologies implementation support tool and starts at 'now underway'. It supports you to unpack the detail, get organised for change, through being '2020 ready', to 'leading and innovating', by supporting you to feel confident with an Ako style of teaching and learning.
