Description

SCRATCHPAD is a group of technology learning centres teaching Coding, Robotics/Electronics, 3D Printing, Graphic Design and more.

The Edison robot is a powerful, engaging tool for teaching STEM, computational thinking and computer programming in a hands-on way. Edison robots are equipped with various sensors, outputs and motors that can be programmed using drag-and-drop block-based coding through to text-based coding with Python.

Edison is LEGO blocks compatible that helps learners to discover their engineering skills while programing it.

Learn in a hands-on lab about programming, electronics, and robotics. Code to control the robot and learn how to use various sensors like light, ultrasonic sound and more.

If you have your own Edison at school or home bring it along!

This virtual meetup is aligned to the Ministry of Education’s digital technologies implementation support tool and starts at 'now underway'. It supports you to unpack the detail, get organised for change, through being '2020 ready', to 'leading and innovating', by supporting you to feel confident with an Ako style of teaching and learning.
