Description

SCRATCHPAD is a group of technology learning centres teaching Coding, Robotics/Electronics, 3D Printing, Graphic Design and more.

This meetup will launch into the Design Thinking Process alongside the use of the sustainable development goals as a framework for the creation of your 3D Design. Each teacher will take away their own set of cards for future use in the classroom.

3D printing is an innovative technology to create a physical object from a three dimensional digital model. All you need to do is use a CAD software to design and create objects that are practical, innovative or for fun, transfer the file to a 3D printer, then the printer brings a digital object to life by adding layer upon layer of materials.

This is a great course to bring your creativity to life. Try your hands on Tinkercad and learn the technique to create 3D objects by using different tools.

Come along for a fun day of designing and creating!

This virtual meetup is aligned to the Ministry of Education’s digital technologies implementation support tool and starts at 'now underway'. It supports you to unpack the detail, get organised for change, through being '2020 ready', to 'leading and innovating', by supporting you to feel confident with an Ako style of teaching and learning.
