Growing possibilities into opportunities. Collaborate with other Digital Technologies & Hangarau Matihiko enthusiasts to create resources for everyone.
Are you an ideas person looking for others to collaborate with in order to make your resource idea a reality? Join us in creating engaging and inspiring Digital Technologies & Hangarau Matihiko resources, in a fun filled 48 hours with other enthusiastic kaiako.
This event is all about developing DT & HM learning resources for you and others to use based on local curriculum kaupapa and contexts. Work in teams of 3 to 5 to dive deeper into DT & HM concepts while developing a project-based programme of learning or create supporting resources for teachers new to DT & HM.
We will provide:
All educators with a drive to create are invited to apply to attend. We’re aiming to bring together a range of attendees based on teaching medium, region, and year levels. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been in education for one year or a lifetime, what is important is that you are ready to create for the community.
All ideas will be collated and a final list will be sent out the week before the event. At this time you can indicate which ideas you would be comfortable working on, your finalised group would be confirmed during the Sunday evening session. All resources produced will be released freely after the event under Creative Commons on dthm4kaiako.ac.nz.
The event is free to attend with all food provided. Travel and accommodation subsidies are not available, however if you are a PPTA member, you may be interested in applying for a PPTA Grant to attend subject association conferences as this is a DTTA subject association conference.
We look forward to working alongside you to collaborate and create innovative resources for all our kaiako and teachers in Aotearoa.
