Description

Growing possibilities into opportunities. Collaborate with other Digital Technologies & Hangarau Matihiko enthusiasts to create a getting started and developing a programme of work for everyone.

Are you an ideas person looking for others to collaborate with in order to support others? Join us in creating engaging and inspiring Digital Technologies & Hangarau Matihiko opportunities, in a fun filled three days with other enthusiastic kaiako in Christchurch.

This event is all about collaborating and developing a programme that is based on local curriculum kaupapa and contexts. Work in teams of 3 to 5 to dive deeper into DT & HM concepts while developing a programme of learning for teachers new to DT & HM.

We will provide:

  • An incredible atmosphere of fun and creativity
  • Knowledgable DT & HM advisors and support for groups
  • Space for group work and collaboration
  • A lot of scrumptious food
  • A few surprises along the way

All educators with a drive to create are invited to apply to attend. We’re aiming to bring together a range of attendees based on teaching medium, region, and year levels. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been in education for one year or a lifetime, what is important is that you are ready to create for the community.

We will share the working documents with you once you've been accepted to allow us to maximise our time together. All resources produced will be released freely after the event under Creative Commons on dthm4kaiako.ac.nz.

The event is free to attend with all food provided. Travel and accommodation subsidies are not available please apply to your school and contact secretary@dtta.org.nz if you have any questions.

We look forward to working alongside you to collaborate and create innovative resources for all our kaiako and teachers in Aotearoa.
