Level 1 NCEA Design Workshop

Join Toni Maddaford and Steve Rodkiss from Burnside High School on Wednesday 19th February at 4:00pm

What is Design and how is it separate from Development? In this workshop we will explore what design looks like across a range of DT areas and how it is different from developing an outcome. We will then unpack the Design external 92007, giving some insights, providing some examples, and having a discussion around how we can support ākonga to collate their design evidence into a successful mini portfolio (new assessment format in 2025).

This assessment method differs from last year and we will provide some insight and discussion about strategies to help your students succeed.

Please note: Once the external is live (open for submissions) at the start of Term 2, there can be no further discussions about the assessment. If you are interested in PD for this external, we have Term 1 to support each other. This is the same NZQA conditions as the Level 2 and 3 DCATs.
