Lending Library

We are thrilled to have had 269 bookings for our Lending Library. We started in 2019 and in 2023 we extended our Lending Library team to two first year Computer Science students to manage it. They're now coming into their third year and will be training the next two first years next year. They clean every piece of each lending library, replace parts and repack the kits with care each term. How lucky are we to have such amazing people taking care of our Lending Library!

I love the DTTA Library. Over the last five years, I have ordered and used the Microbit Kit which contains 30 units and is used with my middle school classes for approximately 5 weeks (I only have them twice a week with 50 minute periods). Being able to order and have this kit delivered to my isolated school ensures that the curriculum I am delivering supports my students from being just consumers of digital technologies to makers and creators of digital outcomes. When the devices are with our school, I always ensure that the neighbouring school (8 students),  has an opportunity to use them as well and as teachers, we are able to network and devise lesson plans for our students collaboratively. Thank you to the DTTA community for making this possible. 

When we look at the addresses our Lending Library travels to, it's inspiring to see so many students involved from so many places!
